An unwelcome mourner

President Trump, as the head of our nation, took a very commendable step and flew to Pittsburgh to show his sympathy for the murdered and injured victims of the most horrible anti-semitic hate crime ever in the history of the country. Though this was expected of the chief executive some people felt it necessary to “add insult to injury”. They actually asked him not to come. It is difficult to imagine the audacity and “chutzpa” of their views. There are all the reasons for him to have made this visit and all the reasons for no one to have objected. To make it worse a lot of those opposing his visit were Jews. Where do people like that get their education from?

Would Christians have objected that he came to a similar tragedy if the victims were not Jewish? Thank God Mr. Trump has a very thick skin and can handle all the negatives thrown at him. However, he must be wondering what goes on in the minds of those leftist Jews? No one can blame the president for being anti-semitic or unsympathetic. Besides his own children being Jewish he has shown more reverence and support for Israel than any previous U.S. president including Republicans and Democrats. Those that opposed his visit to Pittsburgh should be ashamed of themselves and should do some introspection into their personal hangups. Even the mayor of Pittsburgh and other government officials boycotted his visit. What audacity they have!

Fortunately, the deceased members of the Tree of Life synagogue¬† are not witnessing this “extra” tragedy.
