Dr. Amitai Avnon Sawicki is a geriatrician at Sheba Medical Center and Advanced Fellow in Geriatrics at the VA New England GRECC associated with Harvard. His research focuses on resilience, frailty, and geriatric rehabilitation. He serves on Israel's Geriatric National Health Council and is currently developing Sheba's Institute for Geriatric Research, Innovation and Education (IGRIE). A former Israeli Air Force navigator, he later trained in gerontology and medicine.
