Now retired, Craig Clifford was a professor of philosophy and dean of the Honors College at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. As a public intellectual, he has written numerous books and articles grounded in his study of philosophy but aimed at a general audience. His scholarly work on Plato, The Love of Wisdom and the Piety of Questioning, will be published by Mercer University Press in 2027.
