Daniel Hochberg is a communal stalwart. He is currently the Co-Chair of the Union for Progressive Judaism, the roof body for Reform Jews in Australia and New Zealand; vice President of the Association of Jewish Holocaust Survivors and Descendants; A member of the Sydney Jewish Museum Board, the Emanuel Synagogue Board; President of the Board of Progressive Jewish Education, and too many other boards and organizations to list. He is a committed Zionist who arrived in Israel within 10 days of October 7 in order to volunteer.
