David Makovsky is the Zeigler Distinguished Fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy where he directs the Koret Project on Arab-Israel relations. He served in the Office of the Secretary of State in 2013-2014 as a senior advisor on Israeli-Palestinian negotiations and is adjunct professor of Middle East Studies at John Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) since 2000. He is the creator of the podcast Decision Points which focuses on Israel, US, Mideast and the current war.
