Efrem is the author of two published novels, "The Kermanshah Transfer" (Macmillan) and "The Disappearance" (The Permanent Press) and the forthcoming story collection, "Let There Be Light" (Peace Corps Writers). His most recent book is the nonfiction memoir, "Juror Number 2: The Story of a Murder, the Agony of a Neighborhood" (The Writer's Press); His short stories, memoirs and essays have appeared in dozens of magazines. Efrem grew up in Staten Island, NY; has a B.A. from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ivory Coast, West Africa; founded and ran two business publishing companies; and manages pro bono consulting projects for nonprofits through the Harvard Business School Club of NY. He lives in Manhattan.
