Estelle Rosen Kersh is an American Jewish grandmother, a lifelong advocate for human rights, and a witness to history. Her understanding of injustice was shaped in childhood when her grandfather—who had emigrated to America in 1907—realized his entire hometown had been erased during the Holocaust. That moment instilled in her the profound truth that silence in the face of hatred allows it to flourish.
As Vice President and Treasurer of Professional Women in Construction (PWC) and founder and President of All Star Communications, Inc., she has led groundbreaking efforts in business technology, designing, installing, and maintaining digital communication systems for industries across the country.
In recognition of her outstanding business accomplishments and dedicated efforts on behalf of women in construction, she received the PWC award on May 10, 1990.
From 1997 to 2007, Estelle dedicated herself to advocating for survivors of domestic violence in Tahoe, Nevada. She organized a community event attended by 600 people, raising the funds necessary to establish a safe house for women and children fleeing abuse—a shelter that still stands today, bearing her name on its plaque. Her commitment to protecting the vulnerable has always been guided by an unshakable belief in justice and the power of collective action.
Today, Estelle writes to shed light on the growing dangers of antisemitism and to inspire action in defense of democracy. Her work reflects both personal experience and historical awareness, urging readers to recognize that combating extremism is not just a Jewish issue—it is a moral imperative for all.
