A sociologist, Ezra W. Zuckerman Sivan is Alvin J. Siteman Professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategy at the MIT Sloan School of Management. His research spans a range of topics, from political misinformation, social valuation, market dynamics, and organizational structures. His main research right now is a book on the invention and spread of the seven-day week.
In addition to his academic writing, he has written opinion columns for the Jerusalem Post and essays on Hebrew Bible and rabbinic texts at the Lehrhaus. He also blogs at https://ezrazuckermansivan.substack.com/; and with Ray Reagans, has a podcast developed in response to the campus crisis in the wake of 10/7/23, called Outsider/Insider.
