Rabbi Dr. Ido Pachtes is the vice president of Beit Morasha, where he leads the Moed Forum, which brings together experts from various fields to study, research, and discuss some of the fundamental challenges facing Israel and the Jewish world today. He is also the head of Beit Midrash Lemaase, which studies and creates Israeli contemporary Halakha.
Rabbi Dr. Pachter served as a communal rabbi at the Young Israel congregation in South Netanya for nine years and holds a PhD in Jewish Philosophy. His research focused on the ideological development of Modern Orthodoxy in America.
He is author of sereral books and booklets like: What is Victory?, Judaism on the Spectrum, Modern Religious Zionism, The Cheif Rabbinate: Politics and Theory, and the founder of Arig publication house for Modern-Orthodox thought.
