A rabbi (Semikha, Hebrew Theological College, 1982) and attorney (J.D., Northwestern University School of Law, 1985), James Gordon has had a diversified career in law, arbitration (public & private sectors) and rabbinics (pulpit, healthcare & Jewish education). He is the author of numerous articles and two books Pray Ball! The Spiritual Insights of a Jewish Sports Fan (Jerusalem/New York: Gefen Publishing House, 1999) and PRAY BALL 2!! Spiritual Insights Into Sportsmanship (Lincolnwood: Team Spirit Press, 2018). A father and grandfather, Rabbi Gordon, resides with his wife Marilyn in Skokie, Illinois with plans to make Aliya in the near future.
