Jason served as prosecutor for 4 years, and as a defense attorney for the past 35 years. He was honored as the Prosecutor of the Year (1991) and repeatedly recognized by "US News & World Report" as one of the "Best Lawyers in America, and named "Lawyer of the Year (2016). Jason has served as President of the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys' Association (2010-2011), and was appointed by Maryland's then-Governor Martin O'Malley as Chairman of the Trial Courts Nominating Committee, and Voting Rights Advocate for his county. He is active in the Jewish and Pro-Israel community, serving on boards and taking on leadership roles in several Jewish organizations. Jason also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Antisemitism Studies at Gratz College. Jason's proudest accomplishment is his family, consisting of his wife of over 40 years, and three sons, three daughters-in-law, and two granddaughters.
