The blend of a Yemenite father and an Ashkenazi mother, Rabbi Kalev uses his unique background to shape his approach to Judaism and synagogue life. Having grown up in the San Francisco Bay Area and completing all his education at the American Jewish University in Los Angeles, he is a proud product of the Conservative movement and a devoted Zionist. Currently, Rabbi Kalev is the rabbi at Tiferet Bet Israel in Blue Bell, PA but will be moving back to his home state of California in July 2016 where he will assume the position of Rabbi at Congregation Tikvat Jacob in Manhattan Beach.
