Kim Thompson is a member of Hadassah’s Evolve Israel Experience (EIE) and is involved in a new Evolve Chapter - Evolve Yachad in the East Bay area of Northern California where she resides in San Ramon. Kim has worked in the field of education for over 27 years. Her work has ranged from being a behaviorist and special education teacher working with students with significant emotional/behavioral issues to serving an elementary school principal. Her career in education has largely focused on equity issues and advocacy work. In addition, Kim has been the Director of Chesed at her temple for the past five years. Kim sees her work with EIE as a fresh opportunity to combine her passion for young people and equity work with her advocacy work against antisemitism and racism of all forms. She views her personal and professional goals as a perfect match with Hadassah’s mission of “bringing more healing and justice to our world.”
