Manley Perkel is a retired educator living in the USA. Born in South Africa in 1948, he lived his formative years when some of the worst excesses and laws of Apartheid were taking over South African society, until 1971 when he left for the USA. Coming from a traditional Jewish family his entire life has been intertwined with following and supporting the growth and development of Israel, for example as a volunteer to Israel during the Six-Day War of 1967.
