Mayer E. Fertig is chief communications officer of the American Committee for Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem. As a journalist, he was managing editor of WCBS Newsradio 880 in NYC, and publisher and editor of the Jewish Star newspaper on Long Island. As a volunteer, he is a longtime substitute host of JM in the AM on the Nachum Segal Network. He and his family live in New Jersey.
