Miriam Hoffman is a native New Yorker who studied English and Humanities as an undergraduate. She took the same way she approaches texts to the study and practice of medicine, where she focuses on the person and their story and not just the person as a patient or diagnosis. She is a family physician and medical educator who has built and led mission-driven medical education curricula. She lives in Riverdale, NY with her husband and three children.
