Moritz Haegi is a young professional and researcher, currently conducting his PhD in Near and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Basel. His research pertains to civil society peacebuilding and the dynamics of segregation in Israel/Palestine. Moritz is a graduate of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) in Geneva, where his research focused on alternative approaches to conflict resolution in the holy land, specifically the idea of an Israeli-Palestinian confederation. Moritz regularly works with the Israeli-Palestinian NGO alliance B8 of Hope and the volunteer network Embodying Peace. He has lived in Tel Aviv, Switzerland, New York and Lima.
