Rear Admiral Gour-Lavie (Res.) recently concluded a 30-year career in the IDF, his final position being Head of the Strategic Task Force after operation Protective Edge as part of the planning directorate.
Gour-Lavie is the former Head of the Naval Operations and Doctrines Division in the Israeli Navy and former Commander of the Israeli Submarine Flotilla. He received his Master's in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and graduated Cum-Laude in Electronic Engineering from the Israeli Institute of Technology – Technion, Haifa.
He is a Research Fellow at the Haifa Center For Maritime Policy & Strategy, Israel.
