Ph.D. in English at Yale in 1973. Stephen Spector taught at Stony Brook University from 1972 to 2022. He has written nine books, including two on Israel: Operation Solomon, on the airlift of the Ethiopian Jews, and Evangelicals and Israel, on Christian Zionism. Both were published by Oxford University Press. He has held numerous fellowships, grants, and prizes, and was a Research Fellow at Wesleyan University twice and at the National Humanities Center.
