Susan Lafer, Past Co-Chair, Hadassah Nurses and Allied Professionals Council, has served in many capacities during her Hadassah career. She has been with Tampa Ameet Chapter for 21 years. During that time, she has served as President and Fundraising Vice-President. Susan than became the Fundraising Vice President, Organization Vice President and Past President of Florida Central Region. She has been an Area Advisor at Large on the region level. As Past President of the region, she is serves as Advisor to the current President. Susan was honored to receive the region’s “Women of Distinction” Award in 2011. In her community, Susan is a member of Kol Ami Sisterhood and Jewish Women’s International. Susan graduated from The Jewish Hospital and Medical Center of Brooklyn School of Nursing and has worked in a variety of medical venues. She is now retired and putting her schooling to good use with the Hadassah Nurses & Allied Professionals Council. Susan has two children and six grandsons, two are in Israel, four are scattered around the USA and her youngest has just become a bar mitzvah. She enjoys reading, theater, dance, spending time with her grandsons, mahjong, and social events.
