Susanne Katchko is a cantor, ESL teacher and artist who has performed in Yiddish throughout the United States. She created “We Are Here! – Bringing Yiddish Joy to Holocaust Survivors” to visit survivors and speak and sing to them in Yiddish and “Torateinu,” a project to provide b’nai mitzvah training and ceremonies for first-time b’nai mitzvah college students. She enjoys research and writing and employs both in her divrei Torah, essays and Jewish-content plays for children and adults. Born and raised in Stamford, CT when it was still the first Fairfield County town that allowed Jews to buy homes without a "Gentlemen's Agreement," she is fluent in French, Spanish, Hebrew and Yiddish, in addition to her native English.
