BDS Wants Israel Gone – Even If Millions Go Thirsty

Defying BDS: Why Israel’s Water Innovations Are a Gift to the World:

The Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement continues to expose its own hypocrisy, attempting to punish Israel while ignoring the suffering of countless others around the world. They claim to care about their so-called “Palestinian” brothers and sisters—yet they remain silent about the brutal oppression of women in Afghanistan, the execution of homosexuals in Iran, or the exploitation of child laborers in Congo’s mines. Instead, they focus their efforts on boycotting Israeli-made products, even something as essential as water—a basic necessity that Israel has mastered the ability to sustain through groundbreaking technological advancements.

Water Innovation: A Miracle of Israeli Ingenuity

Israel, against all odds, has transformed arid land into a flourishing agricultural and technological powerhouse. The country’s pioneering water management techniques—from desalination to drip irrigation—have made it a global leader in water sustainability. It is not just an achievement for Israel but a gift to humanity.

Imagine, for a moment, if Israel were expelled from its indigenous homeland and the region fell into the hands of the Arab states surrounding it. The once-blooming Negev Desert, the advanced agricultural zones, the high-tech water systems—all of it would wither and collapse. Within no time, the region would become arid, barren, and impoverished, resembling so many failed states across the Middle East.

Judea and Samaria: The Heart of Israel

One of the most infamous tactics of Israel’s adversaries is the attempt to erase Jewish history from the land. The very name “West Bank” is part of this deception—an artificial term used to delegitimize Israel’s ancient connection to Judea and Samaria. This is not just any territory; it is the historical and biblical heartland of the Jewish people. Those who claim otherwise conveniently ignore the fact that the term “Palestinian” was originally used to refer to Jews, long before Arab nationalists appropriated it for their own agenda.

The Jordan River: A Natural and Historical Treasure

At the heart of Israel’s geography is the Jordan River, a 251-kilometer-long waterway that plays a crucial role in the region’s environment, history, and water security. It is mentioned countless times in the Bible, with profound religious significance. Beyond its spiritual importance, the Jordan River and its tributaries—such as the Banias River in the Golan Heights—are vital sources of water, feeding into the Sea of Galilee and, ultimately, the Dead Sea.

Yet, due to reckless water mismanagement by neighboring countries, the Dead Sea is shrinking at alarming rates. Israel, on the other hand, has taken bold steps to preserve and sustain its water resources, implementing desalination, wastewater recycling, and advanced irrigation techniques that make it the undisputed leader in global water conservation.

BDS: A Movement of Hate, Not Justice

While Israel innovates to make the desert bloom and provides water security for itself and even its adversaries, BDS actively seeks to undermine these efforts. They target Israeli agriculture, science, and technology—not because they care about human rights, but because they seek to cripple and delegitimize the Jewish state. They do not call for boycotts of dictatorships like Iran, nor do they protest the ethnic cleansing of minorities in Syria. Their obsession is singular: Israel.

The boycott of Israeli water technology is not just absurd—it is criminal. Denying people access to life-saving innovations, all in the name of a twisted political agenda, exposes the moral bankruptcy of the BDS movement.

Time to Stand Up For Israel

Israel’s enemies seek to erase its history, steal its land, and sabotage its future. We must not let them succeed. The media must stop using misleading terminology like “West Bank”—a term designed to strip Judea and Samaria of its rightful place in Israel’s history. The world must acknowledge Israel’s vital contributions, from its technological advancements to its environmental leadership.

Water is life. Israel has mastered the ability to sustain it—not just for itself, but for the entire region and beyond. BDS stands against progress, against truth, and against the very survival of the Jewish homeland. It is time to expose their lies and stand with Israel—the true guardian of this land, its history, and its future.

About the Author
CEO of Time to Stand Up for Israel, a nonprofit organization with a powerful mission: to support Israel and amplify its voice around the world. With over 200,000 followers across various social media platforms, our community is united by a shared love for Israel and a deep commitment to her future. My journey as an advocate for Israel began early. When I was 11 years old, my father was deployed to the Middle East through his work with UNTSO. I had the unique experience of living in both Syria and Israel, and from a young age, I witnessed firsthand the contrast in cultures and realities. That experience shaped me profoundly. Returning to the Netherlands, I quickly became aware of the growing wave of anti-Israel sentiment — and I knew I had to speak out. Ever since, I’ve been a fierce and unapologetic supporter of Israel. I’m not religious, but my belief is clear and unwavering: Israel has the right to exist, and Israel has the duty to defend herself. My passion is rooted in truth, love, and justice. I’m a true Zionist at heart. From my first breath to my last, I will stand up for Israel.
