Benghazi is an issue you can’t ignore, especially for the next Commander in Chief

The last United States Presidential debate is upon us and the two candidates are very close in the polls. For this publication, the United States along with Israel remains neutral on a specific nominee to endorse, but graciously gave me the opportunity to write from a US Army veteran’s heart and why we cannot forget Benghazi. I mentioned in a few written articles about the proud military service I was honored to be a part of for a span of thirteen years. I felt that being a part of the two percent of Americans who volunteered to serve their country was a privilege for me.

One of the first things I learned as a soldier and stayed with me my whole career was to never leave a fallen comrade. I learned that when I became a sergeant, you as leaders are responsible for your soldiers, all of your soldiers. Hillary Clinton was the Secretary of State during the Benghazi attacks and she ran the operations on the entire United States military under President Obama. I will not go into the details of what occurred Benghazi, because they are well known. My main point is that there were four Americans that would have had a chance to escape if Clinton had made the decision as a leader to send in reinforcements to get them out of there. She failed to act as a leader and is about to be the next Commander in Chief. I have heard various stories: whether it was the Saudis who paid her or it was terrible leadership on an order from Obama. Either way it was a fatal mistake. She had the authority to say let’s get those men out of there and send the reinforcements needed, but chose not to. I know many self-entitled liberals who believe that American lives do not mean a thing to their selfish selves, but to the rest of us they do.

Benghazi is still a huge issue which we can never forget especially, when voting for the Commander in Chief. Another thing that bothers me about Clinton is the fact that she lied about why this was an Islamic terrorist attack. Yes, it was an Islamic terrorist attack on the anniversary of 9/11. However, she lied when she stated it was due to a YouTube video. What kind of a leader lies to the American public this way on a continuous basis? If Hillary Clinton is to be a leader of the United States Military, then she has to be able to identify the enemy and has to be able to win wars, and she has yet to do that. I fear for our friends and family who join the military under her leadership if she is elected President, as their lives will not make a difference to her and she will have no conscience when sending them into harm’s way. As a United States Veteran who was on two-year long Afghanistan deployments, why I feel we cannot forget Benghazi.
