Bibi: Enough is enough

“BIBI-ENOUGH IS ENOUGH”

In February of 2023, during the period of the demonstrations against the so-called laws of “judicial reform”, and months before 7 October, I wrote my last Blog for the Times of Israel.

It was called “My Country Too” and I am including the first few sentences below to remind you of a  “simpler time” less than two years ago!

“A country can also die slowly and not in one gigantic atomic bomb blast. It can start with a group of parties passing laws making the judicial system a thing of the past, and other agreements turning parts of the defence establishment and parts of the police system into private armies of a few men.

It can start with having required military service for Jews who are orthodox but not Hasidim, and other Jews who are neither, but may be traditional and/or secular. These Jews plus other groups including the Druze, are about one half of the population, but these citizens, do and will carry the country on their back- both “militarily” and economically.”

On 7 October we started on the steep decline in the direction described at the beginning of my last Blog.

The Premier, his government, and his Knesset have been a total failure in almost every field possible from the protection of our citizens, to our standing in the world and to our relations with our best ally, the United States of America, a failure which continues even to this very day. This failure includes the lack of ability to care for and solve the problems of tens of thousands of our citizens who have been turned into internal refugees -in their own country. And most important of all is the failure of not returning our hostages, but worse than that the fact that our government is not making the maximum effort to bring back our citizens who were taken as hostages taken to Gaza on 7 October!

Last night we again saw this lack of effort, in the decision of the cabinet to stay on the Philadelphia Line when everyone including our Minister of Defense, and all our major defense officials say that it is possible to leave that Line to save the lives of the remaining hostages who are still alive!

The pictures and video coverage of the relatives of the hostages, screaming to their children and parents and brothers and sisters, on the border with Gaza, was a moment of shame for all of us!

Enough-it is time to end the rule of this government and send Bibi and all those responsible for the present leadership of our country-home. The only legal way to do this, seems to be new elections, so let there by new elections. The people will decide our leadership after more than a year, of the failures, of the present government! It is time that we all go into the streets to demand the end of the government and new elections as soon as possible!

One does not have to be a genius to look at the status of our country before the attempt at “judicial reform”, and look at our condition right now, to realize that we are headed on a steep dangerous decline in almost every possible field. Perhaps the only thing saving us today from total disaster, has been the heroism of our young soldiers and the volunteering spirit of many of our people.

As I wrote earlier, the most basic of all the failures has been the failure to bring home the remaining living hostages! And if we believe many of the reports in the media there have been chances to bring them home in the past few months, at a high price but a price that has more to do with the survival of the present government than any other factor. This is an unforgivable failure!

So please Bibi GO HOME and let us start rebuilding Israel in all fields, before it is too late!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!
