Bibi: Resign

                            “BIBI-RESIGN!”

Two days ago I wrote a blog entitled, “BIBI- Enough is Enough”, whose bottom line was basically to hold new elections to decide on a new leadership in Israel. I was wrong! Our country cannot wait for new elections. The murder of six young hostages, which may have preventable with a different leadership, was proof of that!

We have to change our government now -not in six months and not in a month-but now!

How can we do that legally?

The easiest way would be if Bibi resigns but that is not going to happen!

Obviously a no-confidence vote in the Knesset would bring the government down. And this could be followed by enough votes in the Knesset to form a new national unity government to replace the present government until elections can be held.

The obvious answer to this proposal is, “Who are you kidding? That has not been possible for the last year!”

My answer to that after last night’s announcement of the killing of six hostages by Hamas, is that Israel is no longer the same Israel it was even two days ago!

I believe that there are now members of the Knesset, who under pressure from the streets and after the killings, may finally be convinced that “enough is enough!” Is Gallant the only one who has some moral streak, or are there others?

It is time that those of us who have been demonstrating for more than a year are joined by others, for a new Israel!

And I not only mean members of the Likud, I also mean members of Shas, who finally have to face what has happened to Israel in the past year and the fact that they are part of the problem and could also be part of the solution.

This is an opportunity for a big change in Israel. Finally, the end of the Bibi era!

We will now be able to attack the many problems that exist in our country, together, and with compromise if needed. First, we will have to return our deterrent power so that 7 October never happens again, and then we will have to attack all the internal problems, but we can do this together!

We must find a way to live together because we must live together!
