Chef Ceaser’s Barbecue Beef Wrap

Here is a super dish for the man in your life at his most important day, the day of the Super Bowl.. (Why I have no idea.) This is guaranteed to please. For sure give this one a try.

Chef Ceaser's Barbecue Beef Wrap

Ingredients

2 tbs. Vegetable Oil
4 lbs. Kosher Chuck Steaks, cut into strips (2 inch thickness)
2 tbs. Chef Ceaser’s Cajun Seasoning (See recipe this blog.)
1 tbs. Garlic Powder
2 Red Bell Peppers, cut into strips
1 Green Bell Pepper chopped
½ cup fresh Broccoli, chopped
2 ripe Tomatoes, chopped
2 Red Onions, thinly sliced
½ lb. Mushrooms thinly sliced
2 cloves Garlic crushed and minced
1 ½ cups Chef Ceaser Famous Smoked Barbecue Sauce (See recipe this blog.)
8 Flour Tortillas (10 inch)
Salt and freshly Ground Black Pepper to taste

Directions

Preheat the grill and add some water soaked wood chips. Make certain that the coals are white hot.

Prepare the meat as you would normally do. Salt the meat, remove all the blood and rinse three times.

Make certain that the steaks are at room temperature. Season the steaks with the Cajun seasoning, garlic powder and a little salt and pepper. When the grill is very hot place the steaks directly on the fire and sear the steaks for about 1 ½ minutes per side. A few seconds more can’t hurt.

Move the steaks and continue cooking using an indirect method for about 15 minutes. Remove from the grill and allow the steaks to sit for 15 minutes before you begin to slice them. Thinly slice the steaks and set aside.

In a wok add 2 tablespoons of oil and stir fry the red peppers, mushrooms, peppers, broccoli, tomatoes and onions until the onions are translucent. Add some barbecue sauce; stir. Reduce the heat, add the meat and cook until heated through, stirring occasionally.

Spoon the meat mixture down center of each tortilla. Fold in sides of tortilla, then roll up tightly from bottom. Place wraps, seam-sides down, in an aluminum pan. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

For each serving, place 1 wrap on a baking pan; top with a little barbecue sauce. Broil for about 1 minute until the tortilla begins to brown. Cut into 4 pieces and serve with the barbecue sauce. The only thing missing here is a few beers for me.

A special note. Whenever possible please purchase Kosher items that come from Israel especially those products that originate in Judea and the Shomron.
