You’ve asked again….
I don’t know how many times I have to say this before your hatred for Trump tones down so that you can hear me: just as you’re voting against Trump, I’m voting against domestic terrorism. You may argue that my vote against domestic terrorism is a vote for Trump. If we use that absurd logic then the opposite also must be true: a vote against Trump is a vote for domestic terrorism. The truth is that we’re both voting for what we see as a way to save our democracy. I pray that in either case, we’re both right.
If you can’t understand my answer, then please try to appreciate and understand how my heart aches, and fears for, anti Semitic brutality as much as you try to appreciate and understand Black lives affected by police brutality. And once you’ve absorbed what I’m saying, perhaps you will be in an educated frame of mind to understand and answer me with more than Trump smears. Perhaps we can even find a solution together.
Here’s my starting point: I know that you like me and my family, but, if Biden and Harris, along with Pelosi, AOC and the Squad on their coattails, get into power, and the cancel culture gains more traction than it already has because of their winks and nods, then I fear that I will be given the choice to either accept BLM BDS plans to destroy Israel (and my only escape route because there will be none for me and my family if Israel is destroyed) or be considered one of Nancy Pelosi’s “enemies of the state” (what a Hobson’s choice that is!). If that happens, will you hide me and my family, feed us, and risk your life for us, as righteous gentiles in Nazi occupied countries did?
You say that I’m exaggerating? That begs the question and doesn’t provide me with the definitive answer to the most question on this issue, so I guess I’ll just have to accept your soft shoe avoidance of an answer as a no….
Well, then, let me give you another chance to make me feel more secure:
From your safe perch, as a social but not so devout Christian, will you publicly get more religious as a Christian or convert to Judaism to see what it feels like to be frightened of the virulent anti Christian and anti Semitic acts happening each day on our streets and in city halls and school systems (starting with Durham, NC and California)? If you’re not sure what I’m talking about, my recent blogs warn of the encroachments.
Will you then tell me than you don’t mind that not one “Democratic” candidate or leader has said anything about this horrific turn of events….until October 28th, in The Times of Israel, as Joe Biden attempted -a little late, don’t you think?- to save himself, not the Jews, and only now that the election is hot on his heels? I ask you: where have those politicians been each time anti religious fervor terrorized us?
Also, tell me where the now “Democratic” pandering political prostitutes are when BLM and colleges and universities scream their hatred for Jews (disguised as cries for BDS)?and, in the Saul Alinsky style of accusing your enemies of what you’re doing, the BDS bigots accuse us of bigotry while they spit on our right to exist?
So, until you have digested the above and can come up with answers to the violence of silence, in the face of domestic terrorism, please don’t judge my choice to vote against it and please take a good look at your own choice to remain silently complicit, in the face of such evil.
Because if “Democratic” political prostitutes are willing to sell out the Jews, Christians will be next (since the woke alt left hates all religion except the religion of communism) and then the Harpers’ letter signing intellectuals will be asked to atone or die, and then any intelligent people who protest those scare tactics, and then homosexuals and transgendered people because they’ll want too much of the pie, and then wrong sex babies, mental defectives, and the elderly and then anyone else who gets in the way. And then there are Muslims who speak for peace with Israel and risk fatwas on their heads for doing so. Who is speaking out for them?
Although Martin Neimoller was no Angel (he offered his services to Hitler rather than remain in prison for speaking his mind), variations of his poem bring home the same message: if we fail to speak out for all, not just for one group at the expense of others, no one will be left to speak out and totalitarianism will win.
So, to keep my sanity in these insane Orwellian times, and as my constant prayer, I’ll keep speaking out in the hope that others will join me lest no one will be left to speak for those who are afraid to speak or unable do so.
