I know it’s hard to keep up with science for the layperson. But our leading politicians should know about the main issues of climate change.
We need to go back to clean air and clean water, end their pollutions. Which is different from lowering the greenhouse effect and taking greenhouse gasses out of the air. Not out of the water.
Smog is dirt in the air but greenhouse gasses are not visible and not even poisonous. They are detrimental because they make the sun heat up the earth while it can’t get rid of enough heat. They’re not toxic or filth.
It would be good to have more greenhouse gasses return to the water (and ground). That should be part of our strategies to decarbonize the air.
Elisabeth Warren said that she wants more carbon dioxide out of the air and the water (sic). Also, no one, on or off stage, corrected her. Bad stuff.
At the same debate, again Andrew Yong got less than equal time. In the previous Democratic TV Debate, he got half (!) the speaking time Warren received. That could be because he’s a nerd. Or it could be [gasp] racism.
But in the last debate, he was almost only asked about immigration and race. The token non-White gets asked about non-White issues — as if that’s the main reason he’s running. A racist way of not taking him seriously.
In the left-wing party debate. And again — no one objected. Shocking.
