Enraged Man Yelling at Television
When FBI Director Comey was fired, everyone in the White House, including the loathsome Sarah Huckabee Sanders, spent an entire day telling the media and the American public that Trump based his decision on Rod Rosenstein’s recommendation. In fact, they went on to praise Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein’s integrity with tremendous fanfare. Except for Sean Spicer, who was hiding behind the WH bushes, of course. Wait, nope, even Sean chimed in on the Rosenstein lovefest.
In point of fact, Rosenstein’s memo did not explicitly recommend firing Comey. More importantly, Trump told Lester Holt on NBC the next day that he, Donald Trump, had already made the decision on his own, to fire Comey — because of this “Russher thing.”
Anyone who ever knew Trump for 5 minutes (including me) is not remotely surprised by how quickly his Presidency has melted down. But still, is Sarah now going to go on TV and denigrate Rosenstein? They do know the media archives and rolls tape, right?
Is any American proud of a President who is throwing incessant tantrums in the White House? This is the guy with the nuclear codes. Whether or not he committed crimes, Congress needs to act now to save the world.
But hey, I’m just a woman who survived living with a madman, so my experience informs my assessment. Incidentally, both the DC shooter and the 2016 Orlando shooter and others had a history of domestic violence. Aggression towards women should be seen by authorities as a red flag. It should not take a fortune teller to read these tea leaves.
As to President Trump, who just celebrated his 71st birthday — he is not going to get any saner, especially as the pressure intensifies. Since his wife and children clearly won’t step in, someone has to act responsibly. Call your Senator and Representatives. Ask them — how do we save ourselves and our children from this President who is losing his grip?
I believe God expects us to speak up. If you see something, say something.
