Farewell your Highness, Queen Elizabeth II

Farewell your Highness, Queen Elizabeth II;
May you rest in peace together with Prince Philip.
Just as your Father, King George will not be forgotten ,
Nor will Princess Alice, Philip’s dear mother.

King George gave courage during the blitz of War;
Princess Alice saved lives of Jews during the  Shoah.
Good models of nobility of character
And aristocracy of the soul, whom you now join.

Winston Churchill, your wise friend and mentor,
As you always spoke of him,
Meets you on your Royal journey home;
Bon voyage, dear Queen .

Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks, friend of your family,
Will greet you with former Archbishops of Canterbury .
I nod my head to you in deep respect
As I did as a child, at the age of four.

Dear Queen, your letter in honor of my mother,
Dr. Lena Allen-Shore, remains in my memory.
