Fertile Void

There is a magical way to look at your life. Everything in your journey and experience is a chance to grow, learn and find where to shine your light and live your purpose. There is noise in our own head, and insanity out in the world. I have been blessed with my mother’s and grandmother’s perspective. If you have met my mother, you know, she is a bright light of the positive view, faith and trust. Her mother, my beautiful grandmother that was on this earth until 101 years old was just happy and loved herself, as well as helping and giving to everyone around her.

Last Shabbat I was talking to a new friend about how I am ready to transform. I am excited about all the possibilities, but I have no idea and I am ok with that. She told me that when she was promoted, she had hired an executive coach to guide her, and shared the phrase “fertile void.” This concept describes my state of being at all times. I sometimes say it is my emunah bubble, which is a space that I know everything will be good. I do not have room for worry, and I like to use my energy keeping my mind open. In Judaism we talk about the word, bitul, which describes nothingness as a space of presence and peace. As well as being a vessel for what is needed, from you and to you. These concepts are deep, and many people need stability and clarity in order to feel centered. This fertile void is so exciting for my personality because I love change, and I know ultimately I will be led to the exact place that I have been yearning for.

It is so important to find yourself fascinating, to know yourself and to keep learning about yourself. It is not selfish, it is self care and it is the only way to get through this crazy thing called life. My own journey has been so full of adventure and miracles, I have always trusted my gut, and it has never let me astray. Now I see the connections in every moment, Hashem is in charge and everything is in the hands of God.

We all go through challenges, change and hard decisions. It is so important to put your family first, be there for each other through the tides and know that we are all in it together. I am so grateful to share our journey, and have you along for the ride. In our Jewish communities, one of the most beautiful interactions is always blessing each other and celebrating happy occasions as well as being there for each other for hard times and loss. We openly ask for prayers when someone is not feeling well, for marriage, children and success. I am openly asking you to have our family in your prayers for health, and success as we figure out all the pieces of our life in Israel. Thank God we are all focusing on taking care of ourselves and each other. We have a beautiful community and the kids are happy in their schools, Baruch Hashem.

We are excited to be coming to Los Angeles to celebrate my youngest son’s Bar Mitzvah and celebrate Passover with our community. Please join us as my husband uses his gift for making food beautiful and delicious. I love to create the decor and ambiance to envelope us in the holy and transformative experience of connecting to our roots and emerging aligned and inspired as we say Next Year in Jerusalem and Am Yisroel Chai!

Chodesh Tov in this manifestation month of Adar, the month of Joy!
