Former Pepsi President & Apple CEO, John Sculley shares insights on the consumer era of healthcare during SXSW

During the SXSW Interactive Accelerator, I had a chance to catch up with former Pepsi President and Apple CEO, John Sculley, when he moderated a panel on healthcare tech.

John sees healthcare as not being solved in Washington,but rather in the home. Given the shift to the quantified self and wearables, John sees a huge opportunity there.

Apple has its only R & D outside of the U.S. in Israel. He is clearly passionate about the opportunities in the consumerization of healthcare, and pointed to Israel’s role as a technology leader in innovation.
