The New Ground Zero

Merriam Webster – Ground Zero definition –

 the center or origin of rapid, intense, or violent activity or change

The terminology “Ground Zero” has consistently been used to refer to the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks on the World Trade Center Twin Towers in NYC.

I hereby want to propose that the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul are now to be known as the New Ground Zero

The 60 Minute CBS Report In My Previous Blog Contains An Important Clue         

At roughly the 15 min and 55 sec mark of the video, a picture of a Minnesota High School Football Stadium is shown dedicated to the memory of Gordon Aamoth who went to that school which is named Blake. It is located in Hopkins, a Minneapolis suburb which is next to St. Louis Park where I grew up.  

Aamoth worked for Sandler O’Neill and was killed during the 9/11 attack. It seems he had just returned from Minneapolis where he successfully completed a transaction which was to be announced on the day of the 9/11 attack. As part of the dedication, the City of New York presented Blake School with one of the beams that was part of the World Trade Center.

Therefore that beam now stands at Aamoth’s high school which is located on the edge of Minnesota’s Fifth Congressional District, according to the latest map I have seen.

In addition, it was reported that Aamoth had previously worked for Piper Jaffray in Minneapolis prior to joining Sandler O’Neill. As I noted on my last Blog, Sandler O’Neill was taken over by Piper Jaffray and the combined firm is now known as Piper Sandler.

Please look again at that CBS 60 Minutes Report referred to earlier in this Blog. Jimmy Dunne at the 4min 50sec mark says the following – “This is an attack on the USA, This is an attack on our capitalistic system which we have benefitted from forever and I personally have. They attacked my firm, they killed 66 of my people. They killed my best friends”.

The George Floyd Killing Touched Off A Wave Of Violence Throughout The U. S.

Minneapolis was becoming a more dangerous place to live before George Floyd was killed but it just seemed that the anger and tension continued to build on the streets of the Twin Cities similar to what takes place in a pressure cooker that results in an explosion once excess heat is applied. The most recent Beirut explosion provides a perfect example. But there was a major difference-

The Beirut explosion affected everyone in the immediate vicinity of the blast while George Floyd’s killing set off fires, looting and violence on the streets of not only the Twin Cities but throughout the U. S.

Putting These Four Major Facts Together Points To The Twin Cities As The NEW Ground Zero.

First, Gordon Aamoth was killed along with nearly 3,000 others on that fateful day of September 11, 2001. He was in the WTC when it took place and died a terrible and horrifying death as did all others who perished in that senseless attack. The site where he died became known as Ground Zero. A piece of the WTC became part of the memorial bearing his name and therefore by now being located in the Twin Cities, here is one solid piece of evidence that a part of the old Ground Zero has now shifted to the New Ground Zero.

Secondly, according to various reports Aamoth had been in Minneapolis the previous day and was in his head office in the WTC at the time the 9/11 attack took place. His physical body appears never to have been recovered but his soul and spirit lives on in physical form with the Football Stadium being named in his memory in the Minneapolis suburb of Hopkins.

Thirdly, because the 9/11 attack took such a major toll on Sandler O’Neill it is questionable if the company would have needed to be bought out. In fact, Sandler O’Neill might have been in a position to make an offer to acquire Piper Jaffray. Instead, it was the Gematria value of Life or 18 years later that in effect gave Sandler O’Neill an opportunity to gain a new life and larger role in the Financial Industry. Not from Ground Zero, but from its new home located in THE New Ground Zero – The Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Fourth, the riots, looting and violence following George Floyd’s death as explained above.
