It would appear that all the dancers engaged in this latest round of peace talks have decided to become wallflowers, unable to find a partner that is even remotely to their liking.
With very little to show for four months of scheduled meetings and get-togethers, they have thus repaired to their respective corners and might not emerge again unless the music being played can draw them out sufficiently to resume the dance.
Unfortunately, a common melody, one that will not grate upon ears deaf to all but predetermined wavelengths, is still nowhere to be found.
A completely new sound needs to be composed, one with a much more insistent beat and a harmony that can always work for the vast majority of those prepared to listen.
Catchy tune; could go viral and then reach the number one spot.
After that, there would be no stopping it. Everyone would soon be back on the dance floor – and this time for good.
