Grilled butterflied cornish hens in a honey mustard sauce
Grilled Butterflied Cornish Hens in a Honey Mustard Sauce
Here is a terrific recipe that takes 5 minutes to prepare and about an hour to cook. This is a great recipe for Shabbat.
Ingredients
4 Kosher Cornish Hens butterflied (Split each bird along the backbone but do not cut all the way through.)
4 tbs. Dijon Mustard
4 tbs. Honey
Salt and freshly Ground Black Pepper to taste
Directions
Preheat the grill.
In a bowl add the mustard and the honey and whisk together. Massage the birds with the sauce and refrigerate covered for a couple of hours. Season with salt and pepper.
Using indirect heat grill the birds until done. Serve with a salad, a vegetable, some pasta or rice and some fresh bread for a complete meal.
A special note. Whenever possible please purchase Kosher items that come from Israel especially those products that originate in Judea and the Shomron.
