Grilled porterhouse steaks in a garlic marinade
Grilled Porterhouse Steaks in a Garlic Marinade
Ladies this meal is especially designed for you. It’s the official and certified man catcher. (My wife got me with this recipe!) One bite and you hooked yourself a big fish. I can hear your Dad calling the Rabbi and your Mom calling your Aunt Sadie. The band is warming up, a diamond engagement ring in on your finger, the flower girls all dressed in white a pink dresses and your on your way to the Hoopa. I am sure that you will want to name your firstborn, “Grilled Porterhouse”.
Ingredients
2 Kosher Porterhouse Steaks each 1 pound and 2 inches thick
Marinade
½ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
½ cup Soy Sauce (use only low-sodium)
6 cloves Garlic crushed and minced
2 Green Onions, chopped
1 tbs. dried Rosemary
2 tbs. Onion Powder
2 tbs. Garlic Powder
2 tbs. Ketchup
1 tbs. Dijon Mustard
Freshly Ground Black Pepper to taste
Directions
Marinade
In a blender combine all the marinade ingredients until well blended.
Using a fork prick holes on both sides of the steaks, then place in a shallow glass baking dish or container.
Pour the marinade over steaks and turn to make certain that steaks are coated in the marinade.
Cover and refrigerate for 12 hours turning once or twice during marinating time. About an hour before your ready to grill allow the steaks to sit outside the refrigerator to get them to copme up to room temperature. Discard the marinade and grill the steaks until desired doneness. Add a baked potato, some vegetables and a salad for a complete meal.
Wait I almost forgot that you might need to add some candlelight, a bottle of Kosher Israeli Wine and little soft music. No doubt about it, your going to catch the big one.
A special note. Whenever possible please purchase Kosher items that come from Israel especially those products that originate in Judea and the Shomron.
