Hamas Shows Its Gratitude for ICC

Just think, how overjoyed Hamas and its followers must have been when the International Criminal Court (ICC) decided to label Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant “war criminals” last year. What a gift to the terrorists guilty of brutally murdering children, women and civilians, raping women, beheading babies, kidnapping children and elderly people and then gleefully bragging about it. This act on behalf of a recognized body of law catapulted Israeli leaders into the same category as Hamas leaders Mohammed Diab Ibrahim Al-Masri, commonly known as ‘Deif’, Yahya Sinwar and Ismail Haniyeh who also received this same designation. The ICC has 124 state parties. (Notably Israel, the United States, China, Russia and India have not signed up).

Most (but not all) EU Member States have confirmed that they will cooperate with the Court in executing its warrants, as has the United Kingdom. I won’t go into the details of why this allegedly august board decided to issue arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant, but suffice it to say they were based on totally false claims that Israel intentionally targeted civilians in its military operation in Gaza and that it deliberately withheld humanitarian aid to the point where civilians were dying of starvation.

Think how much these arrest warrants have the Hamas propaganda machine to legitimize its claims that Israel had engaged in genocide and crimes against humanity. This declaration by the ICC served to enable the governing body in Gaza to justify their acts as victims of Israel’s inhumanity. What a coup!

And boy have they ever taken full advantage of the baseless propaganda the ICC has promoted. Nowhere was this made more offensively clear than on the day Hamas released the bodies of the Bibas children, 9-month old Kfir, 4-year-old Ariel and their mother Shiri. Hamas used the spectacle of the coffins to display a huge mural of Bibi Netanyahu with his mouth sporting fangs and blood pouring down his face with the words, “WAR CRIMINAL” in huge, accusatory block letters instantly transforming the kidnapping and murder of children into a message from the Gazans that they are on the same side as the ICC. They too believe Israel is guilty of war crimes.

The International Criminal Court investigates and, where warranted, tries individuals charged with the gravest crimes of concern to the international community: genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity and the crime of aggression. While cloaking themselves in the robes of righteous justices they have actually weaponized this “Court” to actively promote these very heinous acts that they piously claim to be against. That mural of Netanyahu with the words “WAR CRIMINAL” should serve as a symbol of just how misguided and disgustingly biased this sham of a court is.

I wonder if those on the IC Court felt even a twinge of remorse that they were responsible for providing ammunition for this ruthless death cult to use to legitimize their own ghastly behavior.

So glad Trump decided to sign an executive order sanctioning this organization after Congress was not able to pass the International Criminal Court Sanctions Bill due to all Democrats, except for John Fetterman (PA), voting against it. Our President wrote, ”The ICC’s recent actions against Israel and the United States set a dangerous precedent, directly endangering current and former United States personnel, including active service members of the Armed Forces, by exposing them to harassment, abuse, and possible arrest.”

Now here’s what real justice looks like: Israel assassinating Deif, Sinwar and Haniyah, three actual war criminals, and many more. May their memories serve as a lesson on how to deal with actual war criminals.
