I had a vision yesterday.
No, not a prophetic one.
One of the minds eye.
I rushed heavenward amidst the masses to offer my prayers for the healing of Rav Yehuda Glick. Trying with the multitudes to proceed forward and enter the gates of the heavenly tribunal, we could not cross the threshold of the courtyard. We stood anxiously chanting at the gates “Refa’einu…Mima’amakim….Shir Hama’alot…”.
We could hear the goings on from the distance. The pleas of the “heavyweights” pierced the skies as they effectively put forth their supplications.
Abraham Avinu testifies that Reb Yehuda is a lover of people, like himself, trying to bring his descendants from Ishmael and Isaac together, in harmony, to proclaim G-d’s holy name as one.
Yehuda requests on behalf of his namesake, let Reb Yehuda live and be well so he may praise, acknowledge and give song to you O’ L-rd, healer of the sick, in the future days to come.
Kind David appears and proclaims that Reb Yehuda is like him, G-d’s faithful servant. He boasts of flaming red hair that bespeaks the fire in his belly and the passion of his heart. He too yearns for the building of our holy place so that G-d’s presence may reside in a permanent home in our holy land.
Mashiach appears with a fierce glowing light, calling for justice. Reb Yehuda, he states, is clearing the path to unity on the Holy Mount! He is paving the way for me. May G-d save him and let him continue in his efforts so that I can arrive in the merit of the people; not by their shame.
The Doctors announce, “Rav Yehuda will live!”
……and so the angles at the courtyard turned to us and said, save your prayers, for it is the people who do not follow in Reb Yehuda’s footsteps who may need them.
