History cannot be rewritten

“When a Jew visits Jerusalem for the first time,
It is not the first time,
It is a homecoming.”
– Elie Wiesel

A resolution which denies Jewish connection to holy sites in Jerusalem is approved by the official executive broad of UNESCO. Nevertheless, a resolution is titled:”Occupied Palestine”, moreover the following statements states that Israel is an occupying power. Furthermore the following resolution condemns Israeli escalating aggression.

Firstly, I would like to point out that in the following resolution obviously terror attacks which are conducted by terrorists are not taken in consideration. “Israeli escalating aggression” is probably an answer to terror attacks, for instance car-ramming, stabbing, shooting, throwing stones on soldiers and innocent people.

Does defense mean aggression?

Israel is condemned any time when it defends lives of civilians.

Israel is condemned for its history.

Israel is condemned for its existence.

Israel is condemned because it has adopted certain measures in order to keep peace.

Israel is condemned because it is the only democracy in the Middle East.

Israel is condemned because it defends freedom of all religions.

Israel is condemned because it keeps holy sites safe in order not to be destroyed by terrorists.

On the contrary, 41 major cultural heritage sites and monuments were destroyed in Iraq and Syria by Islamic State. Additionally, major cultural sites were demolished; the director of UNESCO has called this destruction a form of genocide.

Hence, were any resolutions adopted?

Israel is doing everything to conduct peace and this resolution which states that Jewish have no connection to Jerusalem holy sites is nothing but diplomatic jihad. However, history cannot be rewritten. In addition, these are facts:

1000 BCE King David conquers Jerusalem and declares it as a City Capital of Jewish Kingdom.

His son Solomon, has built the Holy Temple which has been destroyed by Babylonians.

Later on a number of Jews have returned to Israel, their promised land, led by prophets Ezra and Nehemiah. The second Temple was built on the same site and in 70 C.E was destroyed by Romans.

When Muslims conquered Jerusalem, they have built mosques on the Temple Mount, the site where were Temples.

Over the centuries many things has happened, however i gave brief view of history because it is cynical and disrespectful to deny Jewish ties to holy sites in Jerusalem. Important to realize is that Israel cannot be an aggressor in own land. Israel is a defender of peace and freedom of religions. Accordingly, when Jews had deep ties to Jerusalem, Palestine did not exist so it is pointless and shameful to title resolution: “Occupied Palestine”.

Ultimately, the only “occupied” issue is the right for truth to be known and the right for real history to be said in order not to be rewritten.
Irina Bokova, the leader of UNESCO has pointed out that she has no official control over resolutions; moreover those resolutions are voted and sponsored on by member states.

Veto power is not allowed according to official laws at UNESCO.
To emphasize, resolutions may be approved, voted, sponsored but the truth and the shame live forever. Consequently, shame stays as a sign of those who support fake history and did not condemn terror. Henceforth, the true stays as a witness of history which will never be rewritten no matter what those who have power plan to do.
