How Did The Find Out: Israel Behind 9/11

We've been hearing it for more than 13 years, and the story is still making the rounds.  The latest comes from an American-educated Saudi professor, Dr. Sami S. Habib.  In an interview with Saudi Arabia's Iqraa TV last month he said Israel was not only responsible for 9/11 but also for " all the crises of the Arab and Muslim world."

"It's all part of a Zionist plot "to divide the already divided Arab world," he revealed, according to translations of the interview by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

"Don't you know that Israel is responsible for all our afflictions? Israel is involved in all the crises of the Arab and Muslim world, including 9/11," said Dr. Habib.  "This is not only the opinion of a small group of people. There is a lot of technical and scientific evidence. For example, on 9/11, two towers were hit. Each tower was hit by one plane. The fuel of a plane burns at 850° C, whereas steel melts at approximately 1,500°. Therefore, the fact that a plane hit the building does not explain its collapse."

Dr. Habib is not your run-of-the-mill conspiracy theorist or paranoid kook.  He is director of the Nanotechnology Center at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; he holds a PhD from the University of Leeds, UK, and an MSc from California State University in Los Angeles. He is a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and of the American Society for Testing Materials.

"There is a strategic plan to divide the already divided Arab world. The plan is to establish the Greater Israel, and to give it regional hegemony. This is the plan that they pursue vigorously," he said, according to MEMRI, the Middle East Media Research Institute, a reliable, independent, non-profit organization that translates and analyzes the media of the Middle East.

He doesn't explain what did bring down the twin towers or how the Zionists did it.  Which raises another question:  in what Cracker Jack box did he get those degrees?

You can watch the interview here.  He conveniently overlooked the fact that 15 of the 19 terrorists on September 11, 2001, were Saudis.
