Trump has never been caught telling the truth unless it could further confuse people. He makes even his doctors lie for him to us. Now he appeared in two clips speaking to the world and he was seen walking to his helicopter ride to the hospital. Why do I see what no one reports?
1. He walked and looks out of juice. Fit for an obese 70+-old man but he used to be a lot more jolly. You need to compare him to his old self. (As a first, just in, after 24 hours, a Reuters’ reporter noted Trump looked tired!)
2. He doesn’t smile. He hides it by looking extra serious. But his facial expression is one of ‘I need to tell you that the end is near.’
3. Breathless. He breathes deeply between his short sentences. Pretends to clear his throat as an excuse to stop and breathe. He throws in one long sentence to ‘prove’ he has plenty of air–he’s always high on will power.
4. He is still his old self, pretending to be flawless. He couldn’t remember the word ‘sympathies’ he received from ‘the world’s leaders’ [sic]. Flipped out ‘condolences.’ Then mumbled to hide he lost the correct word.
Is it wishful thinking that people can’t see it? Realism before optimism!
Is it that people listen to his words (‘I’m doing fine’) and ignore the rest, like tone and facial expression? Which makes millions believe him.
Is it that most people don’t remember what he normally looked like so they can’t compare? Not everyone has a great memory. Helps the conners.
Or a combination?
Maybe the above points can help some to open their eyes.
For all who want to know. Not for the ostriches.
PS: What seems to be forgotten or overlooked already is how the con artist in chief knew already before the debate with Biden that he was not doing so well. He came in so late to the event that the planned virus test could not be done. Just imagine a tour rider who does that. Would not have been allowed to race. Trump, who had been demanding Biden would take a drug test before the debate (“I’m willing to take one too”), was just setting the stage for overlooking his ‘accidental inability’ to do the virus test. Yes, endangering everyone around him. Has never bothered him.
