I choose love
As protests continue on this side of the planet, I have to wonder something: what problem has hatred and racism ever solved?
As a child of the American South, I saw people scarred by the remnants of racism. Most used their emotional scars to work toward changing society and its improving their lives, a few went the other way. Every incident was because someone was racist. They would scream it from the highest mountain and scream loudly. I am not saying that all were not related to some bias, but a majority were not.
The US Justice system has problems and reform is needed. Instead of burning down your neighbors’ businesses, join it and try to make positive changes. Looting, threats and violence are not the answer.
Dr Martin Luther King, Jr said he wasmaking the choice to love. I am too. The answer to the question I asked is NONE.
