The Knesset in a specially-called session blasted the prime minister (not for much longer) and heckled him from the podium, Not the “leftists” nor the “anarchists” as he is prone to call them (vocabulary presumed created by bad son Yair), but Vox Populi, the voice of our people, including many from his own party.
Both Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid (the good Yair) reminded him that the seat on which he sits is not his. It belongs to the people (who mistakenly elected him… foolish people).
The opposition members in our almost-dead democracy informed him that he is neither the landlord of our parliament nor the landlord of the official residence on Jerusalem’s Balfour street.
“You are not the landlord. You are only a tenant with a lease. And the lease is about to expire”.
Beautiful words. Sara and son had to be burning with anger when the words were repeated to them.
Our corrupt and indicted criminal prime minister repeats over and over again that he is innocent of all charges and is the victim of a witch-hunt to oust him from power.
A very good fairy tale. Watch Bibi as his nose grows longer like the Pinocchio who thrived on lies.
He denounces the alleged witch-hunt. But the only witch is the one to whom he is married.
A more loving wife would have been wiser to say to him, “Look, darling. We do not need this terrible aggravation. It is bad for our health. You should step down from your honorable position after fourteen years of your devoted service to an ungrateful public. The tension is unhealthy for all of us in the family. You should take a leave-of-absence for reasons of health.. yours, mine and our loving sons”.
Sara neglected to include “for the sake of our very suffering citizens”. She would choke on the words, no doubt.
Bad son Yair doesn’t work. He has probably never held a job. He lives free of all expenses as the wicked son of a wicked public servant. He has no qualifications other than to be a master of hatred.
Once he no longer can live off the hands of our citizens and returns to a private family palatial estate in Caesarea, also tax-free, he will have to look for a job. Who in the State of Israel would employ him?
There is a shortage at present of toilet cleaners in hospitals and nursing homes. Since he spouts shit he would not be uncomfortable about cleaning shit. And the media would enjoy taking photos of his not-smiling face.
But let us be honest (a word to respect and to treasure). Sara and Yair Netanyahu are not our enemies.
They simply have the misfortune of bearing the family name of a corrupt and lying prime-minister. A misfortune passed on to his elder son.
When they are no longer “official residents”, Bibi can begin to write his memoirs and Sara can return to being an airline stewardess. No one truly gives a damn about elder son. We do, all of us, respect and hold in esteem the pure-hearted decent younger son, Avner. May God protect him with long years of happy life.
It is not possible to understand the pain and humiliation he suffers in anticipation of a father who probably soon will go to a prison cell.
I wish I had been there in the honorable chamber of our Knesset to hear and to witness the heckals shouted at Binyamin Netanyahu. He must have been extremely upset by some members of his own Likud party who did not object to the hecklers and some whose voices joined with them.
The marches continue. The protestors have not given up. People are still dying from the coronavirus.
We are living in turbulent times. Frightening times.
Beirut has exploded. The once glorious “Paris of the Middle East” has been tragically destroyed, human lives with it.
Hezbollah has no places to hide in Beirut. They will have to re-locate to Damascus.
For us in Israel our concern at this moment must be the security of Haifa port and the city. We must be reassured that the tragedy of Beirut can never become the tragedy of Haifa.
But in the midst of the calamity we can still say one good thing:
“Bibi is innocent of the Beirut catastrophe. Of that, he is innocent. Our devoted Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit cannot accuse him of it.”
Silence can be heard in the Knesset chamber. But there is no silence on Balfour street !
