I Wish I Had Produced It: Roseanne Barr Praises My Award-Winning Show, The Quest

How Roseanne Barr Loves My Show

As a filmmaker, there are moments that make all the struggles, setbacks, and sleepless nights worthwhile. For me, that moment came when I reviewed a podcast I recorded with the legendary Roseanne Barr. In her unmistakable voice and heartfelt tone, she said, “I love it. I love your show! It’s Fantastic! I wish I had produced it.”

To hear those words from one of the most influential figures in television history was both humbling and electrifying.

The project she’s raving about? It’s the award-winning, The Quest – Get Back Your Ex, a unique story I poured my heart and soul into. The movie version is streaming on Tubi, while the limited series is available on Red Coral Universe, a platform spanning 100 countries. Behind these platforms are incredible distributors—Homestead Entertainment, B.A.R. TV and Relentless Media Group for Tubi, and Famvision for Red Coral Universe. Together, they’ve helped share this project with audiences worldwide.

But how did we get here? Let me take you behind the scenes of this 14-year journey—a labor of love that’s been as challenging as it has been rewarding.

A Vision Born Out of Perseverance

The idea for The Quest came to me over a decade ago. I envisioned a bold, transformative concept—a story about six broken lives and three divorced couples, kidnapped by a mastermind and placed into the Path Changer. This revolutionary experiment forces participants to confront their deepest fears, past mistakes, and lost connections in an effort to find redemption.

For years, this idea lived in my heart and on paper. Bringing it to life required more than just imagination; it demanded relentless effort, unwavering determination, and the support of the right people. Finding investors who believed in this concept was no small feat.

Countless rejections came my way, but I refused to give up. I knocked on every door, pitched to every potential backer, and kept refining my approach. After years of persistence, I finally found partners and investors who understood the depth and potential of The Quest: Stacey, Jonathan, and Ben Avidon, as well as Menashe Amitay. Their belief in this project turned my vision into reality. I’m also deeply grateful for the unwavering support of my dear wife, Patty Sarah.

A Stellar Cast and Crew

Once funding was secured, the real magic began. I had the privilege of working with an extraordinary cast and crew whose talent brought the concept to life in ways I could only dream of. Actors like Suzanne Kovi, Anaiyah Sunshine, Doug Walker, Wonderful Monds, Javier Jorge, Tatiana De Leon, and Jesenia Orozco delivered performances that were both raw and deeply moving. With a powerful soundtrack by Kenny Stoute and Own3r, and filmed by the award-winning production team, Global Flimz.

Each actor brought a unique perspective to their role, making the characters more authentic and relatable. On set, we weren’t just creating a show; we were crafting a piece of art that captures the complexity of human relationships and the power of redemption.

Roseanne Barr’s Seal of Approval

And then came Roseanne Barr’s endorsement—a moment I’ll never forget. Roseanne, who has shaped the landscape of entertainment with her groundbreaking work, praised The Quest with such enthusiasm that it felt like a dream. Her words, “I love it. I love your show! It’s Fantastic! I wish I had produced it.” are not just a compliment; they’re an affirmation that this project has touched hearts in the way I always hoped it would.

These platforms have given us the ability to share this unique story with viewers from all walks of life.

A Tool for Growth and Healing

What makes The Quest truly special is its purpose beyond entertainment. The show has become a tool used in couple therapy and for personal power growth. By exploring themes of forgiveness, redemption, and resilience, it offers viewers insights into their own relationships and inner struggles.

A Personal Triumph

Creating The Quest has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life. It’s a testament to perseverance, creativity, and the power of storytelling. From countless rejections to finally seeing the show streaming globally, this journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.

I’m deeply grateful to everyone who believed in this project—from the incredible cast and crew to the distributors and streaming platforms that made it all possible. I’m thankful for the viewers—those who have connected with the story and found something meaningful in it. Most of all, I am thankful to G-d, in the Merits of my Holy Parents, Mordechai and Henya, and my Brother, Yehuda, who blesses this project with continued success.

This is just the beginning. Part II is already in development, and I can’t wait to share even more of this story with you. Thank you, Roseanne Barr, for your kind words, and thank you to everyone who has supported The Quest.
