Is it curtains for Western Europe? The promise of Parshat Lekh Lekha

The 80 year gap between “Those who curse you” and “I will curse”

ודור רביעי ישובו הנה כי לא שלם עון האמרי עד הנה

And the fourth generation will return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites will not be complete until then.

בראשית טו:טז Gen. 15:16

Newton’s Third Law of Motion asserts that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. This is essentially the law of cause and effect. It applies not only to the scientifically objective world but to the karmic world as well. Cynics say “No good deed goes unpunished”, but in the more exalted reality, every negative action must ultimately be resolved with a countervailing positive one of equal magnitude.

Which makes it all the more puzzling that, following the Shoah and the utter devastation caused by the German people and their European allies during the Second World War, there was no epic quid pro quo. Not only did Germany go unpunished, it flourished. In short order, Germany became the dominant economic force in Europe followed by its French, Italian, Dutch and Belgian allies. For make no mistake, those countries were very much in lockstep with the Nazis, certainly as far as “the Jewish problem” was concerned (although Italy occupies a distant last place in the list of the complicit).

How can it be, therefore, that the very nation states that were involved in initiating and actively carrying out the most heinous deeds in history, should emerge unscathed? How can it be that the children and grandchildren of those who actively and passively perpetrated the Holocaust should grow up in the coddled embrace of their Nazi omas and opas, while the silent screams of 1.5 million Jewish children still issue from the chimneys of Auschwitz?

To describe the post-war reality of Western Europe as a judicial obscenity would be a colossal understatement. And yet, the world has chosen to conveniently forget, and this includes Jews who blithely drive their BMWs, relax in the cafes of Berlin, and vacation in the beautiful but blood-soaked landscapes of the Black Forest and the Austrian Alps.

Does no one pay heed to the Torah’s admonishment that we must “Eradicate the memory of Amalek, but not forget”? And yet there is no eradication, only amnesia as Israel’s Prime Minister is chauffeured hither and yon in his 12 cylinder, bullet-proof echt Deutsche Audi, and as the owners of Volkswagen – the very same Poetsch family that used, abused and disposed of Jewish slave laborers during the Shoah – cavalierly dumps its corporate historian because he had the temerity to include this sordid chapter in his chronicles of VW.

Could the cosmic Newton be wrong? Is there no redressing of evil actions? And if there should be “an equal and opposite reaction” what could possibly be appropriate for Germany and its allies short of total debasement if not obliteration?

And still, nothing. Paris remains the world’s #1 tourist destination. And Germany and its products are the very essence of global aspiration.

Perhaps some clarification may be found in Parshat Lekh Lekha, specifically in the two verses cited above.

“Those who bless you, I will bless, and those who curse you I will curse”. It is worth noting that the action and the reaction do not occur in real time. The verse does not say “Those who bless you I bless, and those who curse you I curse”. Nor does it say “Those who will bless you I will bless, and those who will curse you I will curse.” Yes, the blessing or cursing of Abraham’s progeny will be reciprocated, but later on, not on the spot.

This asynchronicity between spiritual action and reaction makes perfect sense. If every good deed were rewarded in real time, and every crime punished in real time, mankind would be robbed of free will. We would become robots devoid of any mastery over our choices.

As well, there is another reason – certainly for the second half of this verse. By delaying retribution, the perpetrator is offered the opportunity to make amends for his crimes, to acknowledge his misdeeds and take the necessary steps to repair the damage he has caused.

Some 75 years have elapsed since the end of World War II, and 80 years since its start – enough time for the Germanys and Frances of this world to have engaged in epic, history-altering “teshuvah”. Yet, what we have is the very opposite.

Germany today is once again showing its true colors as more and more Germans of every social stratum drop their pretense and become vocal Jew haters, advocates of BDS, and funders of NGO’s whose raison d’etre is the destruction of the State of Israel. And, mind you, it is not only the grandchildren of active Nazis who are mounting the barricades of Jew hatred, but the liberal Evangelische churches of Germany which hide behind good intentions as they finance and provide manpower for those organizations actively engaged in undermining the Jewish State.

France, which gladly lifted its skirts to welcome the Nazi occupation, and was eager to participate in the Shoah has – ever since de Gaulle – been consistent in its efforts to thwart Israel at every diplomatic and military turn. Today France champs at the bit to recognize a genocidal Palestinian state, and inly waiting for its German handlers to take the lead. And this barely 77 years after the Velodrome where Jewish children were separated from their mothers, as all were packed off to the chimneys by the enthusiastic Parisian police.

Things are not much better in Holland – the Western European country with the highest national percentage of Holocaust victims and Nazi collaborators. In the Netherlands today anti-Semitism is back in vogue – certainly socially acceptable, while anti-Israel political parties are on the rise. As for Belgium, the less said the better.

Which brings us to the second verse cited above:

“And the fourth generation will return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites will not be complete until then.”

G-d is telling Abraham what he means by “Those who curse you I will curse”. There is no such thing as unfinished business, but it will take four generations.

The parameters of a generation in the Torah oscillate between 20, 40, 70 and 100 years, with each number representing different meanings of the term. For purposes of the Exodus from Egypt, a generation was equal to a century. But more often than not, the period in question is literally the time it takes for a newborn to become a parent, ie. 20 years.

In the very near future there will have been four generations since the start of the Shoah, and the time is drawing nigh for history to recalibrate itself and for the piper to be paid.

And it is happening even as we speak. Western Europe – under German leadership – is committing suicide, acting as its own hangman. By allowing – nay encouraging – the invasion of over a million inassimilable, radicalized Muslims it has set in motion an irreversible doomsday scenario. Germany convinced itself that these‘ refugees’ were needed to fill industrial jobs that remained unclaimed owing to the demographic suicide of a Deutsche Volk reluctant to procreate and greedy for longer vacations and earlier retirements..

But the process of self-destruction did not begin with this.

To prepare its suicide gibbet, Western Europe first had to lay the demographic groundwork. This entailed four steps:

Secularization:As evil as Christianity often was (and still is), it still retained some elements of good. If nothing else, it motivated people to develop nuclear families and create children. For without children there can be no future. Europeans have pretty much dumped Christianity altogether as churches go empty and are repurposed as climbing gyms and concert halls.
Negative Birthrate:Secularization lead to the consuming selfishness and self-indulgence which characterize the post-War Western European lifestyle. This means ever-shorter work weeks, ever-longer vacations, ever-earlier retirement and, above all, ever-fewer children to interfere with the good times.
The loss of national identity:Ironically the emergence of the identity-erasing European Union is partially the result of the faux-guilt after the Shoah. Nationalism was blamed for fascism and Nazism, so therefore nationalism (but not Jew hatred) had to be expunged. But when this happens, there is no one left (negative demographics aside) who believes in defense and the need to be capable of withstanding outside forces. No one rallies around the flag of the EU.
The need for imported manpower:A negative birthrate made the importation of foreign laborers mandatory, as economic growth could not be sustained without an augmented workforce. This was the rationale for allowing millions of Muslim Turks into Germany, Moroccans into Holland, Arabs into Belgium, and – coupled with guilt over its colonial past – North Africans into France.

Yet all this was merely the prelude to the outright invasion which is currently in full swing, as literally millions of undocumented, military age, battle hardened, hostile, Jihad and Sharia adherent Muslim males make their way to Germany and its neighbors. In short order, these men will be bringing in their multiple wives and extended families under the umbrella of “family reunification” thereby swelling their ranks to up to 10 million within the very foreseeable future.

Already in France, the birthrate among Muslims is higher by a quantum factor than for the rest of the French population. Even without the current invasion, it is only a matter of time before France is undone. Already, Islam is the #1 practiced religion in France. In Belgium nearly a third of all Brussels residents are Muslim – again without factoring in the current invasion.

Anyone who believes the current trend is not fatal is seriously delusional. No Western European nation has the will to do what it might take to reverse the trend – assuming even that the trend could be reversed. They are not willing to produce the children needed to even de-accelerate the demographic time bomb. They are not willing to resume the religio-ethnic-national identities that might motivate them to take up positions of defense. And they are not willing to rid themselves of the suicidal but politically correct belief that “alle menschen wurden bruder”, and that Islam is just like any other faith. No better proof is needed than the idiot in the Vatican who equates Bible and Quran, and washes the feet of Muslims on Holy Thursday.

Yes, The Torah specified four generations between when “those who curse you” and “I will curse”. If a generation is 20 years, the timing is perfect. Everything is in place. All we can do is sit back and watch the show.
