Israel Makes the World a Safer Place
Everyone reading this piece, regardless of where you live in the world, should be congratulating Israel for making the world a safer place by delaying the “bad guy’s” capability to eventually go after you as well. Remember, Israel is just the canary in the coal mine….the real enemy of Iran’s forces of evil and their proxies is western civilization.
It was an amazing week. Israel, a country smaller than New Jersey with just over 10 million people found a way to scare Hezbollah’s leadership into telling their minions earlier this year to discard their cell phones (so Israel cannot trace their troops) and start using the pagers that they ordered from BAC in Budapest, a shell company (presumably) set up some time ago by Israel to manufacture pagers for ultimate sale to Hezbollah to replace their cell phone usage.
The pagers were produced under the Gold Apollo label of a Taiwanese firm by the same name, who licensed out their use to a company in Hungary for the production of the said AR-924 pagers. BAC later secured a significant order for about 5,000 of those pagers from Hezbollah and, most likely during the production process, added a chemical explosive to each unit which could then be activated at the appropriate time by a clandestine message from Israel to each user. Tuesday’s explosions, which killed dozens and injured over 3,000 Lebanese, most of whom were Hezbollah supporters and fighters, was followed by an explosion of dozens of walkie-talkies on Wednesday, effectively crippling the terrorist’s communication system causing fear, chaos and a breakdown of Hezbollah’s command and control network.
While Israel has not claimed responsibility for any of this, a senior US counter intelligence expert said on a televised broadcast last night, when asked who could have pulled this off responded “No country in the world, not even the US, could have been responsible for this other than Israel.”
In effect the incident took over 6,000 hands off the triggers that have been sending rockets into Israel from Lebanon’s south every day since October 8th and has caused over 60,000 residents of Israel’s north to flee from their homes to safer ground.
In a word it is now Israel, and sadly only Israel, who has taken direct action to go after an enemy that launched a war against its citizens not because the enemy was attacked by us, but because they have sympathy for Hamas in its war with Israel in Gaza, a war that was caused by Hamas’ massacre of over 1,200 civilians on October 7th, 350 days ago. This, while the feckless leadership of the west urges us to work harder to limit civilian casualties and rations military support to Israel to support their positions. Shame on them all.
From where we sit, engaged in an existential battle for survival with over 100 of our hostages still being held by Hamas, we have questions of the west, to wit…..
- Why aren’t you fully supporting Ukraine’s fight to retain sovereignty over its territory as Russia continues their bombardment simply because they covet another country’s territory?
- Why aren’t you forcefully stopping, with military force, the Houthis in Yemen, who also covet your success, as they attempt to damage Western economies by limiting the world’s ability to traverse the seas unhampered?
- Why aren’t you arresting, prosecuting and sentencing demonstrators in your countries who chant “Down with America,” or “Down with England” or “Internationalize the Intifada” or, this week, “We don’t want Zionists on the streets of Boston?” Do you not understand their long-term objectives and how you support them by doing nothing?
- Why are you standing idly by in the face of civil war in the Sudan, repression of the Uyghurs by China, increasing civil rights violations in Afghanistan to cite a few examples, as if none of this affects you?
Tactically, we succeeded here this week beyond our wildest dreams and caused havoc in the ranks of one of our enemies, a proxy of Iran. Whether it was a strategic move as well, time will tell.
While the rocket alerts from southern Lebanon into northern Israel continue as I write this, we also know that Hezbollah knows that none of their people are safe from our intelligence apparatus. Surely the world would be a better place if all the enemies of peace felt that none of them were safe from the wrath of the West.
