Hundreds gathered in Central Park, New York, on Sunday, July 7th to march for the safe return of all hostages and Omer Neutra, an American citizen who deferred college to join the IDF.

As an Israeli, over the past nine months, I have utilized all platforms to combat antisemitism and raise awareness for the release of the hostages, including my social media persona “Kosher Barbie.” This passion led me to design the new iconic “Star of David” dress and create other symbolic statements, such as the yellow ribbon I wear during the march in Central Park. I have dedicated months to posting thousands of hostage posters in local neighborhoods, only to have them torn down in attempts to suppress the truth.

As we marched, I called out, “Let them go now,” alongside Israeli actor-director Gur Alfi, who had traveled from Israel to support “The Hostage families Forum” in New York. He spoke about the importance of not forgetting October 7. “There are people who want you to forget that October 7 ever happened. Soon they’ll be printing calendars that jump from October 6 straight to October 8.”

Omer Neutra’s parents, Ronen and Orna, urged leaders to secure their son’s return. “This may be our last opportunity to bring him back; let’s act now.”

“Nine months have passed since October 7th, nine months of waking up every morning praying that Omer too is waking up, that he is strong, that he is still surviving and waiting to be rescued. I pray for us both as any mother prays for her child from the moment of inception.” Orna shared.

Former State Spokesperson Eylon Levy stressed the importance of continued pressure on all parties involved, calling for global support to ensure the safe release of the hostages. “This urgency extends to the US government and mediating nations, urging coordinated efforts for our people’s freedom.”

During the march, singers performed Omer’s favorite Frank Sinatra song, “Fly Me to the Moon.”

Together, we demonstrated that Israelis and American Jews refuse to be silenced in New York City by amplifying the voices of the hostages who can’t speak for themselves, showing solidarity with all who value freedom and democracy. The time for action is now: “Bring Them Home NOW.”
