Israeli History Of Land For Peace – “Free Palestine”

The word on the street here in Israel is that “things have changed” after the May 2021 Gaza war. Arabs from Gaza fired thousands of rockets (again) at Israel and we had to justify our right to not be killed and defend ourselves to the world media.

Now overt anti-Semitism is acceptable in most modern countries including the USA where the BLM movement supports Hamas. The official Black Lives Matter organization declared solidarity with Hamas attacking Israel. In addition, attacks on Jews in Los Angeles, New York are now commonplace; using Israel’s existence as an excuse to hate Jews.  As if our enemies historically ever needed an excuse.

The modern day anti-Semitic term for “kill the Jews” has morphed into: either “Free-Free Palestine from the River to the Sea, or “The Two-State Solution”. Hamas last month was very honest; they stated there is no room for a two state solution with the Jews. Their goal is clearly stated to rid Israel of all Jews.

The world has always failed to protected the Jews throughout history and in that last century (1939-1945) they allowed the murder of at least 6 million Jews. “Never Again!”, is not just a phrase. It’s our reality for existence within the present State of Israel.

The following is a brief review of Jews giving up our land in Israel to the Arabs and getting nothing in return (excerpts also taken fro: Benjamin Netanyahu, A Durable Peace. 2000). All of the land of Israel has been either historically owned by Jews or has been purchased by Jewish individuals or organizations just as the Jewish National Fund (JNF).

  • 1919 – Zionists gave up on their claim to the Litani River, currently South Lebanon. This was supposed to be the main water source for Israel.
  • 1922 – 80% of Israel was made off-limits to Jews so that the country of Jordan could be established for the Arabs of “Palestine”. The Jews gave up a large portion of Biblical Israel and received nothing in return.
  • 1979 – Peace treaty with Egypt. Israel gave up the Sinai, transferred thousands of Jews and destroyed their homes, schools and farms. The Egyptian army was by treaty forbidden to be in the Sinai. Currently the Egyptian army has tanks and military personnel in the Sinai in direct violation of this treaty. The annual Egyptian war games reportedly stages Israel as its enemy.
  • 1989 – Israel gave Taba with a resort and hotels to Egypt, for peace.
  • 1993 – Oslo Accords, Israel ceded land to the “Palestinian” Arabs, and received nothing in return. The Arabs have control of lands that encompass 98% of the “Palestinian” population. The other 2% are nomadic Bedouin.
  • 2005 – Israel evacuated all Jews from Gaza. This included 9,000 Israeli citizens living in 25 towns. All homes, schools, farms and synagogues were destroyed. There are ancient Jewish Synagogues in Gaza dating back to the 6th century (508 CE) because Jews lived there. There are currently no Jews in Gaza!
  • 2006 – Gaza Arabs abducted Corporal Gilad Shalit. Thousands of Qassam rockets shot from Gaza towards Israeli civilians. Terror tunnels built under Gaza by the local population.
  • 2007 – Hamas took over Gaza. Thousands of rockets are shot at Israeli civilians (and Gaza Civilians) by Hamas on a regular basis. The world media accepts this as legitimate behavior. The goal of these rockets is to kill Jews.
  • 2008-2009 – multiple rocket attacks from Gaza towards Israeli civilians.
  • 2010 – At least, 150 rockets launches and 215 mortar attacks from Gaza towards Israelis.
  • 2011 – 680 rockets mortars and Grad missiles fired from Gaza into Israel.
  • 2012 – Over 400 rockets fired from Gaza into Israel.
  • 2013 – numerous rockets fired from Gaza to Israel.
  • 2014 – 3,000 rockets launched from Gaza at Israeli civilians.
  • 2015 – 23 rockets fired from Gaza.
  • 2016 – 15 rocket attacks from Gaza.
  • 2017 – 35 rocket and mortar attacks from Gaza.
  • 2018 – At least 370 rockets launched from Gaza. Israelis killed and wounded.
  • 2021– Arabs violently riot in Shimon HaTzadik (Sheik Jarrah), Yaffo, Haifa, Lod etc. Gaza Arabs shoot 4,000 rockets at Israeli civilians (including Ramat Beit Shemesh). Two rockets exploded and were destroyed by Iron Dome, above my home. The reason given for the rocket attacks to kill Jews was to show support for the Arabs of Yerushalayim and to protest Jews from reclaiming their legally owned property in Shimon HaTzadik.

Jews have repeatedly compromised on historical claims to our land for peace and the Arabs have compromised on nothing. This last round of hostility from Gaza has not only legitimatized world wide anti-Semitism; it has also reawakened the reality of Jews and Arabs living in peace together in Israel.

Yerushalayim is the Jewish Capital of Israel. This is not disputed territory. Legally owned Jewish land cannot be erased for fear of mob violence. This is true in Lod, Haifa, Hevron and Yerushalayim.

The Jewish neighborhood of “Shimon HaTzadik” was initially established in 1851. The land was purchased by Jews, never stolen. In 1936-1939 there was an Arab revolt in “Palestine” Israel. Jews were being murdered all over Israel because they were Jews. In the 1947-1948 Israeli War of Independence, the residents of Shimon HaTzadik suffered attacks from the local Arab residents from “Sheikh Jarrah”. February 1948, after several Jews were murdered the British ordered the Jews of Shimon HaTzadik to leave their homes for safety.

On April 13, 1948, seventy-eight members of the Hadassah Medical Center were murdered by the residents of Sheikh Jarrah. The British soldiers on scene at the time, allowed the massacre of the convoy to take place. The British prevented the Palmach from protecting the Jews. After this time, the Shimon HaTzadik Jews neighborhood was stolen by the local Arab population and renamed Sheikh Jarrah. The modern State of Israel is a testimony to the fact that Jews are here to stay. We have rights to life and property. World opinion and anti-Semitism does not change our moral and legal rights to Israel. When the local populations accept these facts then we will have peace.

Bill Maher May 2021:

What I find so ironic is that after World War II, everybody said, “I don’t understand the Jews. How could they have just gone to their slaughter like that? It’s like, you know what? You’re just gonna get used to the fact that Jews now defend themselves…and by the way, defend themselves better.

We did that once. It’s not gonna happen again.

Ok, and then when they fight back: “I don’t understand the Jews, Why can’t they just go to their slaughter?”

There is just not another country in the world that would allow missiles to be rained down on them without fighting back.

What I find so ironic is that after World War II, everybody said, “I don’t understand the Jews. How could they have just gone to their slaughter like that?

Ok, and then when they fight back: “I don’t understand the Jews, Why can’t they just go to their slaughter?”

It’s like, you know what?

We did that once. It’s not gonna happen again!

You’re just gonna get used to the fact that Jews now defend themselves…and by the way, defend themselves better.
