How to be Jewish: Be good. The end.

Israel’s Knife Epidemic: Coming soon to a theater near you

We live in a very stupid world. Or rather, we live in a world run by very stupid people. Stupid politicians, stupid governments and stupid NGOs running around each day spouting more and more piles of foul-smelling unadulterated stupidity in every direction they turn. Millions of years of human history and we still haven’t figured out how to climb over the mountain of stupidity that blocks normally intelligent beings from realizing that what goes on “over there” can, and will, happen “over here”.

Why are knife-wielding maniacs running around Israel trying to stab and murder as many Jews as they can before committing suicide-by-soldier? Because there is no peace process. Because of Bibi. Because of the settlements. Because of poverty. Because they have no hope. Because they have no jobs. Because, because, because. Just pick one already!

Actually, let’s choose them all. All of Israel is to blame, and the Jews brought this on themselves by daring to declare that they too deserve a tiny slither of land on this earth free from persecution, when clearly they should’ve been happy with the encouraging prospects they had in Europe. Fine, let’s go with that.

So why then, was a British soldier hacked to death by Muslim extremists in the streets of London?

Why then, were 12 journalists gunned down by Muslim extremists during a staff meeting in Paris?

Why then, were 191 people blown to pieces by Muslim extremists while taking the train in Madrid?

Why then, were 2,977 people murdered by 19 well-educated middle-class Muslim extremists in three US cities on 9/11?

There’s no need to list all the attacks. In fact, I’m not sure there’s enough space on the internet to list all the attacks. The only thing I’m sure of is that what is happening in Israel right now can be explained away by a million different reasons, all of which fail to take into account that when you remove the political excuses, Israel is no different than any other country fighting the scourge of Islamic terrorism.

There is always a reason, always an excuse that head-in-the-sand citizens of this world find to explain away terrorism. If it were that easy to explain, how come we haven’t solved it yet? How come it’s getting worse and spreading further? How come when Israeli citizens get run over by terrorists it’s because of the political situation, yet that political situation has absolutely no causal extension to French citizens getting run over in the same manner and by the same mentality? What exactly did those French citizens do to deserve the same punishment that the Israelis suffered?

Israelis and Jews everywhere are distraught that the world is not paying greater attention to the terrorist war of attrition being waged against innocent Israeli civilians, including elderly woman and children riding their bikes. Israelis are full of despair that the world continues to excuse Palestinian violence as an understandable response to their political situation, but condemns Israeli self-defense as an unacceptable reaction to being physically attacked with deadly weapons.

I have no such despair. I have full confidence that when Russia stabilizes Syria and all the trained extremists have nothing to do but return home to Europe and North America, then the world will start paying attention. Then, the world will understand once and for all that this is not about settlements or settling a feud.

Then – not even maybe, but a definite THEN – the world will understand what it is to have knife-wielding maniacs pop out from every corner of your country without a siren or a bleep until it’s too late.

What will the excuse be then? Where will those governments draw the line between necessary and excessive force when defending THEIR citizens?

As Israel enters its most unpredictable era of terrorism yet, the only sure thing is that this knife epidemic will not be confined to the streets of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. What is happening over here will happen over there. And while I still won’t expect the appropriate level of empathy devoid of dogmatic qualifiers, I will wait with bated breath to hear what ingenious reason the world has come up with to, yet again, blame the Jews.

As Albert Einstein said, “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe.”
