Je Suis Charlie

Posting an insightful or profound blog commentary at this time seems rather inconsequential in light of the horrific and tragic attack and deaths at the offices of ‘ Charlie Hebdo ‘ in Paris to-day.

As a Science graduate of Carleton University, home to Canada’s finest School of Journalism, I was brought up to value and respect a free press in all its forms. Though I might disagree with or even ignore other points of view, I valued our democratic right to express such views.

My thoughts and prayers are with the families, friends and colleagues of those who lost their lives and the brave police officers who died defending them.
